Saturday, our first ski day

We woke to a light snow fall overnight, it was a beautiful morning. We took our friend Helga’s advice and took the ski bus over to an area called Pass Thurn in anticipation of skiing down some nice blue groomers. Unfortunately, that overnight snowfall left the mountain covered with several inches of wet heavy snow on top of ice. In addition to the challenging snow conditions the mountain was badly socked in, which left us with really poor visibility. Because of the poor visibility, for our first run we ended up going down a steep red run (reds here are similar to our blue/ blacks at home) 😳😬😳. We did manage to ski several more blue runs before calling it quits. It was really a tough morning, neither of us thought it fun. So we headed down to the bus stop and after waiting an hour plus, ended up on the wrong bus πŸ˜‚. When we arrived in the wrong town , however we found a nice little restaurant to reward our efforts with a bier & raddler while waiting for the correct bus 😊 🍻.
